The cheap stuff ran out first
Back-to-school books fill up over the next three weeks, and the first things to go are never the ones on a restock list. Glue, tips and files moved fastest at C8 over the last seven days. Here is what actually sold, and what is marked down to go with it.
Nail glue outsold everything with a brand name on it
Eleven orders of KDS nail glue went out in seven days, against three the week before. It costs fifty cents. Nobody writes a blog post about fifty-cent glue, which is exactly why it runs out on a Thursday afternoon with four clients booked.
The rest of the week's movement says the same thing. Straight tip refills nearly tripled. Jumbo zebra files more than doubled. Sanding bands and wood-centre files both climbed. Not one of those is a colour, a launch, or a trend. They are the things a bench eats through, and August is when a bench starts eating faster.

Do I need a code to get the markdown?
No. Every price on this page is what you pay. The discount is taken off the ticket before you see it, online and in the store, and there is no minimum.
Is the glue really fifty cents?
Yes, per tube. It is boxed 250 to a case if you want the case price, and single tubes are stocked at the counter for walk-ins.
Which tip shape should I stock heaviest for back-to-school?
Short round and short coffin. A long set does not survive three weeks of a school routine, and the short shapes are what clients come back and ask to be filed down to anyway. Stock the mid sizes, four through six, deeper than the extremes.
Do you sell to individuals, or only to salons?
Anyone can buy, in store or online. You do not need a cosmetology license or a resale certificate to shop at C8. A resale certificate only changes whether sales tax is charged.
