OPI Intelli-Gel in S061 OPI'm a Bubble Bunny took 42 orders in the last seven days, up from 26 the week before. Nothing else in the catalogue came close on order count. Two of its siblings landed in the same top ten: H22 Funny Bunny at 12 orders and S86 Bubble Bath at 10.
That is not a C8 quirk. Milky and sheer neutrals are the finish the 2026 trend write-ups keep naming as the thing quietly replacing the French, and tinted builder bases are being sold as base coat and sheer colour in one bottle. When a salon books a student for a set that has to survive a semester and a dress code, this is the shade they reach for. Builder gel is climbing, and August is why
Builder Gel took 70 orders across the week and the movement is spread across the whole category rather than one hero SKU. Cre8tion's Overlay and Brush-on Builder in 01 Clear went from 8 orders to 13. The 2oz HEMA-free jar went from 8 to 10. Young Nails Protein Bond appeared out of nowhere at 10 orders and $1,415. Aprés Gel-X Almond refill bags did 9.

Chrome and 3D line work held the top ten for a fourth week
Crystal Chrome did 14 orders. 3D Line Gel in Clear did 14, up from 11, and the Black did 7. Aora Chrome Bond appeared at 7 having been nowhere the week before. Chrome has been in this list since the chrome rush two weeks ago and it has not softened.
The read: chrome is the add-on that pays for itself. A jar of powder costs less than a single set and turns a flat neutral into an upsell. Pair a chrome topper with the milky base above and the same client books a different look in three weeks.

Will a milky sheer cover a stained natural nail?
Not on its own, and you should not try. Put a tinted builder or a soft white base underneath, cure, then the sheer on top. Two thin coats of the sheer over a corrected base beats three coats of sheer over a shadow.
