What is CND Shellac?

Shellac is CND's soak-off gel polish system, applied over a Shellac gel base coat and sealed with a Shellac top coat, then cured under a lamp. It wears like gel and removes by soaking rather than filing. C8 stocks the Shellac base and top coats, including a no-wipe top coat.

What is the difference between CND Plexigel and Brisa?

Both add structure and strength, but they differ in how they are applied. Plexigel comes in a bottle with a brush and is designed to be controllable straight from the bottle, with a separate Bonder, Builder, Shaper and Protector Top Coat. Brisa is a traditional jar sculpting gel applied with a brush from the pot. Plexigel is generally faster to pick up; Brisa gives more sculpting control.

Do I need a special lamp for CND Shellac?

Shellac is cured under a UV or LED lamp. CND makes its own LED lamp calibrated for its gel systems, which C8 carries, though most modern dual-source UV/LED lamps will cure Shellac. Follow the cure times on the product label.
