The holidays are here, and it’s my favorite time of the year! I love shopping and doing my nails, so my cart this season is extra exciting. I’ve been doing my own nails at home since the beginning of this year. I used to get them done professionally and always went for Gel X, so now I’m stocking up on products that are perfect for Gel X at home and long retention.
1. Cre8tion Tip Extension Primer for Soft Gel Tips - $8.95
First up is this primer made specifically for soft gel tips. My nail tech used to apply this to chemically etch the underside of the tip, and it made my nails last up to five weeks. Right now, I’m still using a random brand primer from Amazon, but I really want to upgrade to this one. I feel like it makes a huge difference in how long my sets last.
2. Apres x Kuromi Naughty and Nice - Flash Glitter - $89.95
Next on my list is the Kuromi x Apres gel polish set and it’s honestly the cutest! I love glitter, soft pinks, and icy blues. I’ve never tried Apres gels before, but my friends and nail techs rave about them. They say the formula is lightweight, smooth, and easy to work with. This set feels like the perfect way to try them out for the first time.
3. Cre8tion Under Clean 3/32" Carbide Bit - $6.75
I’ve been learning to use an e-file to make my Gel X sets faster and more professional. I recently discovered that sealing the cuticle area helps with retention, and I saw on TikTok that this Cre8tion Under Clean Bit is perfect for that step. The creator’s nails looked flawless after using it, so I knew I had to add it to my cart to help my sets last longer.
4. Cre8tion Cordless Touch LED Lamp 3W - $35
I’m also upgrading my lamp this season! Right now, I have a tiny one I bought from Amazon, it’s only about 4 inches wide and just not cutting it anymore. This Cre8tion Cordless Touch LED Lamp has an adjustable gooseneck design, which makes applying soft gel tips so much easier. I’ll be using it for flash curing, so the 3-watt version is perfect (though Cre8tion also sells a 9-watt model if you need more power).
5. DND Matching Pair - 635 BURGUNDY MIST - $5.75
Burgundy is one of my all-time favorite winter colors because it’s cozy, elegant, and gives such a confident vibe. This DND shade, Burgundy Mist, is absolutely gorgeous. I’m planning to use the matching gel and lacquer duo for my hands and toes. I can’t wait to pair these nails with my winter outfits!
